Mehra Meh graduated from the University of London, England
with a degree in Electrical Engineering in 1987. Around the
same time, he staged a number of theatre productions at the
Edinburgh Festival Fringe, including Haunted Lives by
Peter Schaffer and Why Hannah's Skirt Won't Stay Down by
Tom Eyen. Mehra moved to Canada in 1988, where after a short
stint working for the CBC and the Toronto Film Festival, he
made his first short film, Travel. Mehra's follow-up, Saeed,
won the 1991 Genie for best short film and was invited to
the Berlin Film Festival. Mehra's third film Siblings premiered
at the Montreal International Film Festival and was broadcast
by the CBC in 1993, the same year in which he graduated from
the Canadian Film Centre as a Producer Resident. CUBE is Mehra's
first feature film.
